Description: ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager specialists Felix Flechas and Amanda Timmons will speak on how to properly utilize the free tool to enhance your buildings efficiency. In addition, we will cover changes to the system, as well as any specialized questions you might have about your own Portfolio Manager account. The event is free to Watts To Water members and all we ask is that you RSVP in advance and provide us with your specialized questions prior to the event so that our presenters may prepare a useful response. Breakfast and refreshments will be provided.

Mr. Felix Flechas has a professional engineering practice which includes auditing and certifying building energy performance for EPA’s Energy Star program. He is one of a few dozen professional engineers nation-wide recognized by EPA as “Most Active Licensed Professionals” for the number of buildings which he certifies for the Energy Star Label. His Energy Star clients include Commercial Real Estate Firms, School Districts and County Governments. He regularly certifies a full range of buildings from the million square foot size to the tens of thousands of square feet. In Addition, Mr. Flechas worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for 31 years. Because of his extensive knowledge, he has testified as a government witness in federal court proceedings and inspected and evaluated the largest, most difficult hazardous waste sites involving complicated toxicology and environmental site conditions. A registered Professional Engineer and Board-Certified Environmental Engineer through the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists, Mr. Flechas helped the EPA develop policies and rules regarding regulatory compliance, risk assessment, site remediation, and worker health issues at waste disposal sites, hospitals, refineries, oil and gas production and power plants. He has taught graduate-level engineering classes in environmental law and environmental engineering at the University of Colorado and currently teaches Environmental Law at the Missouri University of Science and Technology.
Amanda Timmons is President of Ampajen Solutions, LLC. Amanda has provided full-service LEED EB O&M consulting to some of the largest buildings in Denver, Colorado and in San Antonio, Texas. Amanda’s perspective on sustainability has been influenced by her experience in mechanical service sales, janitorial service and interactions with facilities professionals. Amanda provides LEED accreditation training for companies across the United States. Amanda started Ampajen Solutions, LLC in 2008 after several years of helping people achieve LEED accreditation. She has been involved with BOMA since 2000, USGBC Colorado since 2012, and Ampajen Solutions has been a member of the USGBC since 2008.
